Down Today

I don't normally like her hair down without pulling the sides up & out of her face. But today was an exception. I thought if one side was up, it wouldn't be so bad with the other side down (she seems to be too little to understand that you can tuck your hair behind your ear) I parted the hair on a slant, but part it however you want.
Do 3 twists back, securing them with bobby pins. I personally think the twists work better if the hair is a little damp.
Round brush the hair & add polmade so that the other side isn't constantly falling in her face & stringy. Spray to hold & add your cute flower.

They look like squares in her hair...

I've done too many criss-cross stuff lately so I wanted something different. I got today's idea from when I did this:
So this is what it looks like without the crossies in it
Part the hair right down the middle. Then take your first section & add your elastic.
Add your second section & before adding the elastic, grab a small piece from the first section & cross it over. Add your elastic.
Do a second row, repeating.
You all know I love to mirror what's on top. So I did the underneath the same (2 times)
Bring it all to the middle to make your 2 piggie tails. Remember to bring a piece across on this one too.
Curl the pony tails & spray to hold. Add your cute bows & you are done!!

Another Criss-Cross do

Start this on the side instead of straight on to get the slanted look.
It's kind of hard to tell in this picture, but these are on the side, not centered, so that it angles down to a side pony. Section the hair into 3 pieces & add your elastics.
Next, do the middle section first. Pull the previous pony straight back into it. Then do the 2 sides, criss-crossing over the middle piece.
I criss-crossed twice. I probably could have gone one more time, so whatever works for you.
It ends with 3 strands left over. I pulled them together in the middle (& if you didn't do all of it, like I did, remember to pull the hair up). Pull it to the middle to make a side pony. I just did a messy bun, but do what looks best.
Add a cute bow & that's it. Spray to hold better.

MESSY TWISTS

I did twist braids on this, but if you can't remember how to do it - do regular braids. I just think twist braids are easier. If you click on twist on the labels list - scroll down to a post where it shows how to do a twist braid.

If anyone knows how to make the word twist be highlighted & then you click on it so it takes you to how to do it instead of having to scroll & look for it - let me know. I cannot figure it out for the life of me!! Thanks!! Zig-zag the part & do your two piggies.
Twist braid both the ponies (as many as you can get out of one pony)

Remember this messy bun we did a couple weeks ago?
& to secure it - you looped each piece & added a pin to secure it.
That's what you are going to do with each of the twists. Each twist will loop & secure with a bobby pin. The ends of what is left over, I looped all together & added a pin also. There were a few strands sticking out so I just sprayed them to keep them from sticking straight up. Make sure you go around in a circle getting each twist on your way.

mini buns

This was SO easy & fast.
Divide the hair into four sections & add the elastic
Do little buns out of each pony. I twisted each one & wrapped it around the elastic a full circle & added an elastic to hold it there. What is left from the buns hang down with the rest of the hair. I didn't want the buns ginormous so there will be a lot of hair left over.
Curl the ends & spray to hold. I have some plastic clips I wanted to put in but I couldn't find them but I think the look cute plain. You could tie some thin ribbon on each one too. Remember to curl the ends of the ponies too.
That's it!! Pretty simple.

dIffErEnt brAIds

This is just ponies with different braids, but you could do them all the same type of braid if you aren't sure how to do anything else.
Pull just the front back & do a tuck under knot.
From the pony of the tuck under knot, do different braids. I did a twist braid, normal braid & fish tail braid.
Pull it all into a low pony tail. Section the hair & do different braids in the pony. I did the same as above.
I added a bow to the top but with or without one looks cute.
& that's it!! Pretty quick & simple!

Knots & Braids

This works the best if her hair is damp, not dry. It's easier to do the knots that way. All it is are the tuck-under knots with a little variation.
Part the hair. Do the tuck-under knots going down, instead of back.
braid the pony that comes from the knot & pin it back to keep it out of the way.
Get your next section & add the braided pony to it. To do this tuck under knot, you divide the hair in half, just like you normally would & push the braid to one side & tuck it under. Pretty simple.
I did 3 sections of each of these on each side of the head. Put into braided piggies, add your cute bows & you are done!!

Curly Sue

So I just got this darling head band & thought it would look cute with curly hair.
I used pink sponge curlers. First, I add gel. The put the curlers in when her hair is ALMOST dry & keep them in for a few hours in the morning instead of sleeping in them, because she won't. I find always works the best if you start the part in the front & roll the curlers in the way her part goes on each side. Then I make my way to the back.
This is what it looks like when I take them out. Right before I take the curlers out, I put a blow dryer to them to make sure the hair is completely dry. I run my fingers through the curls & then spray to hold.
Add your headband & there you have cute wringlets!!
