Everyone is wearing braids (no matter the age) & they are SO easy & quick that most everyone can do it on themselves or on their girly. I saw this on Nicole Richie in a magazine but she had bangs & it looked pretty cute with the loose bangs in front. This would be darling for church or a wedding or something more fancy. This would probably only work on longer hair. Sorry!!
Start by doing a part straight down the center. Then back comb (tease) the hair & pull it into a low pony tail. Tug on the hair a little to give it more lift.
Split the pony into 2 sections & braid each section. Use clear rubber bands at the ends.
Pin each braid up the side & tuck to hide the rubberbands & ends of the hair. Do the same thing on each side. If she was to be a flower girl, you could add flowers all over her hair. Or if the ends don't exactly meet in the middle or are too long, you could curl the ends.

This braid is super easy to do. I did not make it up - I learned it by accident but I've seen it on a little girl before. I like to call it the scrunchie braid. Do a loose braid, to the ends of the hair. Then put 2 of the strands of the hair on one side & hold the third piece in the other hand (sorry kind of hard to do with camera)
With the two pieces that you have over, start scrunching them up while holding the third piece steady (this is what the braid scrunches up around)
Go to the base of the head & add your elastic to hold it in. It looks like way harder than what it really is. ANYONE can do this!!

I braided 2 regular braids on the side & crossed them over into pigtails.
I then did a bunch of the "scrunchie" briads in the pig tails.
Curl each end of the braid & add 2 ribbons to each pigtail.

Pretty simple. Hope my instructions on the braid were clear enough, if not, let me know.

Click on the website & it will take you over to the site so you can put your name down & see how you can win! But let them know I sent you so I can get in on the contest too:)

time for another FANCY NANCY party

We've had fun going to all the Fancy Nancy birthday parties - but I've had more fun thinking of a fancy do to go along with it.
I know. I know. She's naked but I tried to crop it & it won't upload what I cropped - even though it shows it's cropped in my folder. I tried not to get too much of her. We didn't want to get her dress on yet - so here's a bad mom moment.

I parted the hair on the side. Then I parted 3 slanted parts going from the side part to the ear & twist. I added an elastic to hold the twist (because once I got away from the base of the head - I turned it into a corkscrew twist) & then bobby pinned it in place while finishing my twists. Do 3 twists on each side.
Bring all the hair into a pony tail. I kind of pulled one twist from each side at a time so that I could make sure the twist was still twisted tight & good.
Now that we have our pony, I did a corkscrew twist just all over randomly in the pony.
Now, curl all the straight pieces that aren't in the twists.
Pin all the curls & all the twists to give a fun updo.
We added our must have spray glitter because she feels like she has to wear it anytime we do a fancy do or are going to a party. It does add a lot though.

We finished it off with a cute little tiara.

Aren't these all SO cute...

Over at EVERY LITTLE DETAIL (click on it)they are doing a spring savings. It's her 28th birthday so they're offering 28% off!! It's beginning Thursday, April 30th, at 12:00am MST and lasting until 11:59 MST. The coupon code is BirthdayGirl. So head over there because all of their stuff is DARLING!! Here's a few things from EVERY LITTLE DETAIL. Make sure you check it out though because there is a lot more than just these headbands:

I understand this picture is flipped - I'm just to lazy to reload it:) If anyone knows a way that I can flip it after it's been uploaded to my blog I would love the help!

So these headbands are ADJUSTABLE!! There's lot of colors & darling! My little girl LOVES them & wants to wear them every day now. & it's fun because you add the flower clip to it where ever you want it. By the end of this day, she had the clip back up top. So FUN!
These are just so clever! They are BOBBY PINS that actually are cute. But not only are they really cute, they are really STRONG!
When you have your girlie's hair down & want to keep the bangs out of the face without having the bobby pin fall out or just looking ugly - this is such a simple solution! LOVE it. This is my favorite.
I don't know why she won't ever look normal at the camera - but here's the set in together. Are they not so CUTE?
There's so many ways you can use them. You could also use them when your girlies hair is up in a pony tail & she's got those straggling, loose hairs that just keep falling down - this would be perfect. & I'm telling you, they're seriously a STRONG hold. & you can add the bobby pins in so the bobby pin actually doesn't show, just the FLOWER
Okay - here's another option how to wear the head band. The picture I had of her full on was flipped so this is the best I got. But you can wear it like your normal head band, with the hair down & add that darling FLOWER clip to add detail.
EVERY LITTLE DETAIL not only has flowers to choose from but darling BOWS. This is a rag bow that we added & it's just too cute.

The headbands don't only fit little girls, but it fits ALL sizes!! Yep, that's me. haha!! I just wanted to be able to show that we can wear it too & I LOVE it. It's so fun. Wear it with or without a flower clip
Here it is with a flower clip added to it. Seriously - you guys all need to check this store out. & why not do it why she's having her spring savings event tomorrow!! Don't forget!!
